We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join a successful growing company based in Stone, Staffordshire. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Set up machinery according to production specifications, including calibrating settings, adjusting speeds, and loading materials.
- Operate machines to produce parts/components within specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Monitor machine operations to identify any issues or deviations from production requirements, such as equipment malfunctions or material defects.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical problems, such as jams or misfeeds, to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, production output, and quality inspection results.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to machine operation and workplace safety.
Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational training in machine operation or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with operating various types of machinery, including but not limited to CNC machines, lathes, mills, and presses.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and production specifications.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.

- Willingness to work rotating shifts, Monday to Friday only.
