Support Worker – 4 Hours a Week Plus 2 in School Holidays (LS17)

Job Role: To support an 8-year-old boy with Autism and Fragile X. He is full of vitality, and the person supporting him will need to be very fit. Personal care will be involved in the role. Training will be available via the council, which is free.

He is a joyful, happy child with a lovely smile. When engrossed in tasks that he enjoys, such as water play and playing with sand, he is happy and content. He enjoys visiting the park, loves the swings, and playing football. He is non-verbal and uses PECS at school. The support worker will need to be mindful that he is very fast, and a watchful eye will be needed.

DBS will be completed prior to starting the role, and 2 references will be sought. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks annual leave pro-rata.
