Leading Financial Services client is now looking for a dynamic Head of Project Delivery to join the business on a permanent basis. The role is offering a base of £140,000 + a strong bonus, pension and car allowance, and it is based out of their office on the Southeast coast (hybrid working available).
The Head of Project Delivery will be tasked with developing an environment that allows Business Analysts, Project Managers and Product Owners etc to thrive. They will enjoy being ‘hands on’, be big advocates of Agile practices and have proven experience of managing and nurturing complex IT portfolios.
The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in resource management, budget management (in excess of £30m), capability building and stakeholder engagement.
To be considered for this role you will need the following:
- Experience running large, complex IT and Change portfolios within Financial Services. Essential. An Insurance background very beneficial.
- Experience overseeing large teams of Business Analysts, Project Managers and Product Owners. As well as proven experience in nurturing and developing talent.
- Must have an excellent background in financial oversight (budgets in excess of £30m) and resource management.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with the PMO function to develop a robust portfolio and help in defining processes & documentation and ensuring adequate controls.
- Comfortable supporting business analysts and project managers in their projects, providing coverage where required, and having the ability to pick up any aspect of the workstream when required.
- Has exceptional leadership skills and is able to influence cross-functional departmental leaders.
- A natural team-builder and team player, who can work comfortably in a highly collaborative setting.
- Must have excellent Stakeholder Management skills.
