Reporting to the UK Risk Manager, the Enterprise Risk Associate will support the Enterprise Risk Manager in providing a risk management service to the SEUK management and leadership team. This includes assisting with:
- The dynamic maintenance and management of the Enterprise Risk and Control register
- Reporting on the effectiveness of Key Controls in mitigating effects of Key Risk Drivers across all SEUK functional areas
- The development and management of effective forward-looking Key Risk Indicators
- The associated reporting to UKMC and the preparation of the Quarterly Integrated Assurance Framework reporting to Group Risk
- Stakeholder management; influencing and engagement up to and including Director level
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the timely and accurate reporting of Key Risk Indicators
- Maintenance of the Incident Reporting log and monitoring the timely completion of action plans
- Assisting with the quarterly Management Control Assessment process and the logging and maintenance of action plans relating to medium and low performing controls
- Assisting the Enterprise Risk Manager with detailed work relating to the development and dynamic maintenance of the Enterprise risk and control register, including working closely with functional business units
- Assisting in the communication of SEUK IAF principles to operational teams
- Supporting the annual insurance renewal process and management of claims
- Ensuring that functional information packs (people, systems and timescales) for each department are maintained and accurate to ensure that SEUK can function in alignment with SEUK and Group Business Continuity policies
- Assisting in the organisation and management of BCP exercises and Scenario Analysis to test the effectiveness of the BCP policies and procedures at a time of crisis
- Assisting in the business partnering to the Project team to ensure that project risks are managed accurately and on a timely basis through the project risk management framework
- Assisting in the challenge of the adequacy and completion of the results generated across the control environment, driving recommendations for improvement, obtaining management agreement to their implementation, and assisting management in the timely and accurate completing of agreed action plans
- Assisting the Enterprise Risk Manager in the production of UK Risk Committee and IAF reporting to ensure that Risk and Control performance reporting is clear, timely and effective, with breaches to KPIs being highlighted
- Contributing to the governance of the 'master' Enterprise Risk and Control register, and sub departmental registers
- Providing training and assistance to all users of the RSA Archer tool once implemented in relation to the systemβs functionality and ensuring compliance with Group Risk requirements in this respect
Skills & Experience:
- Experience of Enterprise Risk Management and/or Business Continuity with ability to support and advise on effective risk management
- Awareness of external and internal risk factors to the energy industry
- Collaborative team player able to work across disciplines ensuring collective accountability and individual responsibility
- Persistent, resilient, creative problem solving
- Confident communicator
- Ability to work on own initiative, multitasking and reprioritising to manage conflicting priorities
- Operates with integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Degree or equivalent industry qualification - Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and/or Professional Risk Management preferred
