One year, with the option to extend by mutual agreement.

Fees:

• £2,400 per year. This is made up of £800 per term (we run three terms – autumn, spring and summer), to cover an equivalent of £200/day for 4 days per term.
• £2,400 choreographer fee for the creation of a new performance piece in residency week.
• £62 per class taught, plus up to £11 travel contribution if traveling in from outside Edinburgh.
• For the full year, the budget for class is therefore £2,232 and £396 for travel.
• Teaching fees are agreed separately as teachers are confirmed, as are Fringe Festival rehearsal director fees.

We are looking for:

• An established choreographer with demonstrable and extensive choreography and teaching skills (contemporary dance preferred, ideally with older dancers). (essential)
• An experienced manager, with strong people management and light administrative skills (essential)
• Equipped with ambition and a growth mindset. You will have an ambitious approach to dance for people over 60. (essential)
• Well established and networked, you will have excellent awareness of and contacts in the dance sector in Scotland and beyond (essential)
