We are seeking a Water Treatment Engineer to join the Building Services team at MOD Whitehall, London. This role involves working on a government building site, delivering Hard Services, and collaborating with a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure onsite maintenance, reactive works, and fault analysis are conducted according to contract terms.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct PPM and planned maintenance, respond to faults, and perform fault analysis.
- Carry out fault finding, plant adjustments, inspections of electrical/mechanical services, and complete maintenance tasks as per contract specifications.
- Perform temperature checks, water sampling (including cooling towers and systems), TMV servicing, shower cleaning and disinfection, tank inspections, and follow preventative maintenance programs. Manage reactive tasks related to water treatment, provide same-day service reports, maintain logbooks, and oversee subcontractors for legionella management.
- Perform general multi-skilled duties, including work on chillers, AHUs, cleaning foul water systems, drains, and inspecting and repairing mechanical systems such as air ductwork, plumbing, and heating systems.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2, or ’A’ and ’B’ qualifications, or equivalent.
- BMS experience and multi-skilling capability.
- Understanding of statutory compliance in HVAC and Water Treatment.
- Health & Safety IOSH Working Safely qualification or similar.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
