Key Responsibilities:- Install engines and gearboxes in fleet vehicles, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform diagnostic checks and post-installation testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues during the fitting process.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Fleet teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of jobs.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
- Ensure all work complies with legal requirements and company standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles as required.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Communicate effectively with fleet customers to provide updates and ensure their satisfaction.
- Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, with a strong focus on engine fitting and diagnostics.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Previous experience working with vehicles.
- Familiarity with recycled or second-hand vehicle parts.

Due to our continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. Based in our workshop at our Skelmersdale site, you will play a key role in mechanical services for our fleet clients, sourced from our meticulously dismantled vehicles.
