As a part-time Voluntary Graphics Assistant, you will provide support to our team by assisting with various design projects, including social media graphics, event materials, and promotional content. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their design skills in a supportive environment while contributing to and promoting the work of ChaplaincyPlus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design Support: Assist with creating and editing visual assets such as social media posts, flyers, posters, banners, and other promotional materials.
  • File Organization: Help organize and maintain design files, ensuring assets are easily accessible and correctly labeled.
  • Layout Assistance: Assist in the layout and formatting of documents for digital and print materials, including newsletters, brochures, and presentations.
  • Creative Research: Help with gathering design inspiration and conducting research on current design trends or competitor campaigns.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the ChaplaincyPlus team to ensure materials align with branding guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Revisions & Updates: Support the team by making adjustments or revisions to designs based on feedback or updated content.
  • Content Preparation: Prepare visual content for uploading to social media platforms, websites, and other digital channels.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools (e.g., Canva, Figma).
  • Strong interest in graphic design and visual communication.
  • Creative with an eye for detail, color, and typography.
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A portfolio showcasing design or creative work is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience in a design-related role (e.g., internships, volunteering) is an advantage but not essential.
