Permanent – Up to 30 hours per week (flexible with some out of hours working required) at Nightingale House Hospice, Wrexham.

Salary £35,000 – 40,000 FTE depending on experience.

Following a £5M investment in the hospice building, Nightingale House Hospice has an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Facilities and Contracts Manager to lead the Facilities Team based at the hospice. You will be an effective communicator with excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements and be able to:

  • Oversee all aspects of facilities servicing and maintenance.
  • Deal effectively with facilities emergencies, working with sub-contractors.
  • Ensure all facilities activities meet health and safety requirements, established standards and provide a safe environment for all patients, staff, volunteers, visitors, customers and onsite contractors.
  • Oversee the hospice's Housekeeping contract.
  • Oversee the hospice's IT Service contract.

You will need to have excellent organisational skills and appreciation of the need for flexibility and a pro-active approach to working in all aspects of your role, while working collaboratively with other professionals to service and develop the needs of the Hospice. Your passion to oversee all aspects of facilities and contribute as part of a wider team to make a difference to our patients and their families must be a priority. The role will involve direct line management of the established Facilities Team. Your skillset and experience will ensure your ability to lead on projects and all aspects of health and safety to enhance the environment of Nightingale House Hospice and its retail portfolio.
