This is a 15 hour per week role, days required to work are Monday AM, Tuesday AM and Wednesday AM. To support the Practice Nurses and Doctors in the implementation of individualised care and therapy programmes for patients. Respond to patient queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors to the surgery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure recording
- Administer:
- Influenza vaccines
- Pneumococcal vaccines
- Shingles vaccines
- B12 vaccines
- Answering the telephone, receiving and transmitting messages
- Filing in forms
- Arranging patient appointments
- Liaise with other health care professionals
- Ordering of equipment and other supplies
- Filing and record keeping as necessary

- Using personal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines
- Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
- Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
- Reporting potential risks identified
