My Client is a leading supplier of apparel to high street, supermarket, and online retailers, working with factories in Turkey, China, India, and Bangladesh.
A permanent position has arisen for a Garment Technologist at their busy head office in South Manchester.
Candidates will have pattern experience – and ideally 3D experience, however this is not essential.
Duties of the job will include:
- Responsibility for a number of retailers – aiming for a right first time approach.
- Creating workbooks/specs for costings and buying samples.
- Creating print patterns for the design team to set up print packs.
- Requesting sealing samples and initial patterns from offshore manufacturers.
- Measuring and checking garments, internal approvals where necessary, samples fitted with retailers in person or over VC, and sending comments out to the factories.
- Working closely with the factories to ensure that the product meets retailer requirements.
- Administration of the critical path.
- Submission of final production samples and relevant documentation.

They are open to experience across mens, womens, or childrenswear, but are particularly keen to hear from candidates with licensed products experience.
