Systems Engineer Opportunities
Mission Systems is a critical and growing part of Babcock’s organisation, delivering best-in-class technical solutions and services for global defence and security. Our dynamic business supports a variety of activities, both in the UK and overseas. A key programme we have secured is to enhance the UK MOD's Skynet (satellite network) whilst also offering exciting career opportunities for experienced Systems Engineers, including wider communication and network projects.
Responsibilities
- Offering comprehensive Systems Engineering support throughout the project lifecycle and understanding CAMDMID/T Lifecycle.
- Experience in developing Engineering Management Plan and Systems Engineering artefacts for the delivery projects.
- Developing and managing requirements from system to subsystem including requirement analysis and traceability.
- Developing and managing architecture from system to subsystem including requirement analysis and traceability, creating and executing test and integration plans.
- Leading design reviews and presenting to customers.
- Leading a team to achieve key milestones with strong communication and leadership.
- Using best practices to develop solutions and manage technical risks and opportunities.
What do I need?
Experience
- Experience in Holistic Life Cycle Management with balanced competencies across the Systems Engineering discipline.
- Systems Engineering expertise across the engineering life cycle V-Model or equivalent; proficient in IBM DOORS, EA Sparx and CAMEO.
- Ability to undertake technical management of internal and external sub-contractors and lead small teams and projects.
- Experience in Requirements and Systems Architecture, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Knowledge of UK MOD practices and accreditation standards for Systems would be beneficial.
- Determining and Managing Stakeholder Requirements, Life Cycle Tailoring, Verification, Validation, and Transition to Operation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or HNC/HND with relevant experience will also be considered.
