Job Title: Lead Developer Advocate at Snowflake

Join Snowflake and help build the future of the AI Data Cloud. As a Lead Developer Advocate , you will play a key role in empowering and expanding our developer community around Snowflake\’s platform. Your efforts will inspire developers to create innovative applications, data pipelines, and workflows using Snowflake.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive Awareness & Engagement: Promote Snowflake\’s platform to developers, highlighting its capabilities for data-intensive applications, data pipelines, and AI/ML workflows.
  2. Create Developer Resources: Develop high-quality, developer-focused materials such as demos, code samples, documentation, tutorials, and blog posts.
  3. Build Community Connections: Engage with online communities (Stack Overflow, GitHub, Slack, Reddit, Discord) to identify needs and provide guidance.
  4. Foster Relationships: Collaborate with developers, engineers, architects, and founders to enhance Snowflake\’s presence in the data ecosystem.
  5. Measure Impact: Define and track metrics to evaluate the success of content, outreach, and community initiatives.
  6. Advocate in the Community: Represent Snowflake at conferences and events through speaking, workshops, and demos.
  7. Feedback Loop: Share developer insights with product teams to influence features and strategy.

Travel across EMEA for events, conferences, and community engagement. Align regional efforts with global strategies by reporting insights and advocating for EMEA-specific needs. Support local communities and leaders, and train internal Snowflake speakers to represent the brand effectively. Collaborate with the regional PMM team to integrate advocacy into broader business goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in developer advocacy, relations, technical writing, or related fields.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Hugging Face, dbt, Notebooks.
  • Community Engagement: Proven track record of engaging and growing developer communities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Action-Oriented: A proactive, results-driven mindset.
