Papdale Halls of Residence provides accommodation and support services to secondary school pupils from the isles to enable them to complete their education at Kirkwall Grammar School.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Housekeeping team at Papdale Halls of Residence for the above relief role. We are seeking applications for a caring, conscientious person to join our committed team. Applicants will ideally have some experience in cleaning and be happy to work alongside children and young people.
You will be required to carry out a range of cleaning activities, follow specific cleaning schedules and maintain records such as temperature checks. Duties include the use of powered cleaning equipment to ensure the premises are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Applicants should hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or be able to achieve this within 6 months of appointment. This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
