Role Overview: Are you a commercially minded food innovation specialist passionate about turning ideas into market-ready products? Our client, a fast-growing, trend-led product design business, seeks a New Product Development Manager to lead the development of high-impact products from concept to launch.

The Company: This entrepreneurial, licensing-led business partners with major retail and FMCG brands to deliver branded, private label, and own-label food products. Known for category-defining launches and a diverse client base across UK retailers, they offer a dynamic environment for innovative thinkers. Recent successes include licensed partnerships in global food and character brands, with ongoing exploration in snacking and ambient categories.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional projects across licensed, private label, and own label food products.
• Translate category trends into commercially viable product launches.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers, manufacturers, and 3PL providers.
• Develop and execute full EPD & NPD pipelines efficiently and creatively.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and labeling regulations.
• Maintain a solution-focused approach from brief to shelf.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience in NPD within snacking or related food categories.
• Strong commercial awareness and market insight.
• Organized project management skills combined with creative energy.
• Hands-on experience managing external manufacturing and supply partners.
• Knowledge of UK food regulations and quality standards.
• Effective communicator, collaborator, and problem solver.
• Passionate about trend spotting and gap analysis.
• Willingness to work in-office 4–5 days per week in a fast-paced SME environment.
