This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled/semi-skilled Machine Operator to work for a global leader in the manufacture of tags, labels, wristbands and badges. You will be an important part of a small high performing team to help and support to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements whilst optimising efficiency. This Machine Operator position involves working with printing machinery and involves manual lifting and long periods of standing while performing duties. The successful candidate will have a good work ethic, willingness to learn and attention to detail to ensure consistent quality. Prior experience within printing or machine operating would be advantageous along with computer literacy. What you’ll be doing as their Machine Operator Reporting to the Production Team Leader you will work on many areas of production with a level of supervision. In this Machine Operator role you’ll get to: * Set and operate production equipment * Monitor the production process and carry out quality checks * Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machines * Report equipment faults to Supervisor * Enter relevant data onto Shuttleworth Dataflow, to record product produced, quantities, material used, time taken. This will assist with the generation and measurement of the Operations KPI’s * To identify and pursue opportunities for improvement * To provide support to the Production Manager Could you be part of this fantastic team? You will need to be hard working and enthusiastic with the ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to change. Full training will be provided but to be successful you’ll need the following: * Previous experience in a skilled/semi-skilled printing/machine operator role * Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions * A good eye for detail * Basic computer skills * Willing to take responsibility to ensure quality control and company procedures are adhered to * Able to work as part of a team * Able to work on own initiative when necessary * Exhibit safety-first attitude * Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of quality * Desire to develop skills and knowledge to support business needs Hours * Standard: 37.5 per week working 16:00-02:00 Monday-Wednesday, 15:30-01:00 Thursday. * Whilst training: 06:30-16:30 Monday-Wednesday, 06:30-16:00 Thursday
