Equity Research Analyst

A global asset manager is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join the Pan-European Equity team. This role is well-suited to individuals in the early stages of their career who are eager to join a highly regarded investment team with a long-term investment horizon, disciplined approach and a collaborative team culture.

Principal Responsibilities include:

• Conducting fundamental research on European companies, including financial analysis, industry research and competitive positioning
• Building and maintaining detailed financial models, forecasts and valuations
• Generating investment recommendations supported by rigorous analysis
• Presenting research findings to portfolio managers and the wider team
• Monitoring existing holdings, tracking key catalysts, risk and company developments
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and identify investment opportunities

Person Specification:

• Strong academic background ideally with a minimum 2:1 degree in finance, economics or a related discipline
• 1-3 years experience in equity research (buy side or sell side) with a focus on European equities preferred
• Progress towards CFA is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to think independently, challenge consensus and generate original insights
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• Intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness and team player
• Passionate investor with a personal or virtual portfolio
