In a nutshell

This role will support the C4 Sainsbury’s Social Media Lead to manage our Nectar and Sainsbury’s organic social media channels and our influencer programme.

What You Need To Do

  • Publish organic, campaign, always-on, and reactive communications across both Nectar and Sainsbury’s social channels, in line with the brand strategy and customer plan.
  • Own the Nectar social media calendar and write engaging captions for Instagram, TikTok, and Meta using Nectar or Sainsbury’s tone of voice.
  • Work with the Social Media Lead to create the Nectar organic social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with our in-house agency Zest to create organic social content.
  • Maintain the brand’s social presence across platforms, ensuring profile pages, header images, pinned posts, etc., are up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with social media governance guidelines, maintaining password security and account access.
  • Provide community management on all platforms, including UGC, influencer content, and outreach to trending content.
  • Utilize social media reporting and listening platforms, like Sprout Social, as a plus.
  • Support aspects of our influencer programme, working with our influencer agency and signing off influencers with campaign team support.
  • Attend Nectar and Sainsbury’s campaign and colleague content social media shoots.
  • Track, measure, report on social and influencer activity weekly and monthly.

What You Need To Know And Show

  • Know
  • A deep understanding of social media with experience creating successful content across Instagram, Meta, and TikTok.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, proven across brands/functions.
  • Experience working with digital media, creative, or influencer agencies.
  • Knowledge of social media tools and platforms (e.g., Sprout).
  • Knowledge of paid social (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Sainsbury’s and Nectar businesses (desirable).
  • Show
    • Your passion for social media! Staying updated on trends and generating content ideas.
    • Experience using editing software such as Photoshop, Canva, or Capcut.
    • A self-motivated problem solver comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

    • Responding to KPIs, metrics, and social listening insights.
