We are looking for passionate and committed Health Visitors who are highly skilled, enthusiastic, clinical practitioners with a good understanding of the needs of children, young people and their families. This role supports the early years, health and wellbeing service and may provide opportunities for progression to Band 7 roles.

The post holder will be responsible for assessing needs and providing health promotion and illness prevention services to the local population. The post holder will work within a corporate caseload as well as with the local population on children and family-centred public health issues. The post holder will be a first level registered nurse with a Health Visiting Degree/Diploma/Certificate and will work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management and delegation of work to nursery nurses, link workers and other support staff within the team (including supervision and monitoring of their work).
• Overseeing and planning in-service development for these staff.

Qualifications

• First level registered nurse with a Health Visiting Degree/Diploma/Certificate.
• Ability and willingness to work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
