FT Security Guard

Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct, and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits, and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure no loitering or misconduct occurs, monitor lobby area, and perform frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients professionally at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor, or leadership team.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of experience in security, corrections, or military service.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver\’s license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and provided by the facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility regulations.
