Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant at our Lacock Garden Centre. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Days of work will be every other weekend and a day off in the week. This is a temporary position until the end of August 2025.
Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant responsibilities:
- Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance
- Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently
- Identifying customers' plant needs through interaction, and taking appropriate action
- Maintaining good, up-to-date knowledge of the layout of the centre
- Excellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping are established and maintained in accordance with company guidelines
- All products are accurately priced and labelled in accordance with Company Policy
- Ensure personal compliance with Whitehall's H&S guideline
- Packing of goods is carried out in a professional manner, and carry outs are offered where required
- Looking after the plants and managing the stock, including stock replacing and displays
- Maintains a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third parties
