Subtitlers provide live and pre-recorded subtitles for various TV programs, conveying original content's intentions and information to viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing. Live subtitles are produced using voice recognition software and re-speaking, including punctuation and commands. Our live output covers news, sports, and high-profile events like Wimbledon and Prime Minister’s Question Time. Pre-recorded subtitles are time-coded to match audio tracks, considering reading speeds, descriptive labels, and program tone. Access Services operates 24/7, and subtitlers must work on a rotational shift pattern.
What You Will Do
- Produce high-quality subtitles for diverse programming, including news, sports, documentaries, music, children’s shows, dramas, and soaps.
- Edit text or soundtrack into clear, accurate subtitles that preserve the program’s essence.
- Proofread and review work to ensure 100% accuracy.
