Direct Payments Worker

This is an external vacancy and is not employment with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

A gentleman aged 18 living in Brough requires a personal assistant for 5 hours per week.

The duties include encouraging and supporting him to use public transport to engage with the community, building his confidence, and prompting new activities.

He enjoys gaming, cinema, and music.

The ideal candidate would be outgoing, supportive, and proactive in promoting new activities.

Rate of Pay: £13 for employed workers, £16 for self-employed workers.

DBS and reference checks are required for this post, with costs covered by the local authority.

The Direct Payments Support Service, provided by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, promotes independent choice and inclusion by enabling service users to employ their own care and support workers, including support workers, carers, and personal assistants.

Travel

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required. Applicants must be able to transport themselves.
