We are looking for a number of Skilled Machinist for a 12-month contract based in Bristo l on behalf of our client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs. The role Work in an aerospace environment producing critical components using a combination of high-end grinding cell technology, novel laser cutting technology and electro discharge machining. These components then enter into service in engine types including T900, T1000, XWB as well as Pearl 15 – the industry’s most advanced business aviation engine. As a Skilled Machinist you will be responsible for: Working to Our Clients Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality machining and inspection across a variety of different components and product families Operating a variety of CNC machines including grinding, Milling and laser machines Operating a variety of measuring equipment, including, Micrometers, plug gauges, and surface finish equipment The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications and, understanding programmes Work within a team to effectively to ensure we hit our customer commitments What we require from the candidate: It is essential that candidates possess a recognised time-served apprenticeship/modern apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, long with either NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, technical instruction, and asset care An individual who is confident to work alone or part of a team and will strive to achieve delivery commitments Will have a strong awareness of H&S and inspection visual techniques Candidates must be able to provide all certifications before interview Next steps If you are interested in applying for these Skilled Machinist position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.
