Teaching Responsibilities: Develop prepare and deliver lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students focusing specifically on Year 2 curriculum requirements and learning objectives. Employ effective teaching strategies to engage and inspire students ensuring that academic goals are met. Evaluate and monitor student progress providing consistent feedback and setting Year 2 improvement targets. Collaborate with colleagues to create curriculum materials that enhance learning experiences and share best practices for Year 2 education. Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respectful behaviour and positive relationships among Year 2 students. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on Year 2 student progress and address any concerns specific to Year 2. Participate in staff meetings professional development workshops and other school activities as required with a focus on Year 2 educational strategies. Requirements: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching Year 2 students in a primary school setting. Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
