Shop Assistant

Candidates under 21 years old: Up to £10.75 per hour (including an hourly bonus)
Candidates over 21 years old: Up to £12.50 per hour (including an hourly bonus)

The Role

We are looking for passionate people to become part of our team.

Day to day duties include:

• Providing excellent service in every interaction with our customers, delivering great shopping experiences, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
• Operating till transections securely and accurately based on till operational procedures.
• Receiving, processing, and organising store deliveries which includes moving potentially heavy boxes up and down flights of stairs.
• Ensuring that products are displayed and replenished in line with the Company’s standards and the compliance with First-In-First-Out stock rotation system.
• Maintaining knowledge of store products to provide advice and recommendations to customers as needed.
• Assisting customers in locating desired items.
• Handling food products and ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are complied.
• Maintaining Health and Safety standards.
• General cleaning and maintenance of shop.
• Safely lift and move items weighing up to 23kg on a regular basis as part of stocking, merchandising, and inventory tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

• Minimum three days (21 hours) availability per week.
• Statutory Sick pay
