Kitchen Porter Role
Kitchen porters are an essential role, who primarily ensure the chefs have the tools to meet the guest needs. It is a great role for anyone who wants to gain experience in a kitchen setting.
What you will do
- Work the pot wash, making sure that all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are correctly cleaned
- Ensure all dishes are clean and put away safely and securely
- Correctly dispose of all food and general waste produced by the kitchen
- Help keep the bin stores organised
- Keep the kitchen to a high level of cleanliness, ensuring all floors are frequently swept and mopped
- Be flexible to jump into any role within the kitchen when needed
- Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues
Minimum Requirements
- Outstanding hygiene standards are essential
- Certificate in elementary food hygiene would be desirable
- Team player
- Strong organisational skills
- Fully flexible in their approach to work and able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
