Live in Nanny

Job Summary: Our lovely client is seeking a caring and organized nanny to join their family in March 2025. The accommodation within the home, is you own room in a newly renovated part of the home, is located in Putney/Roehampton, with easy access to walkable activities or train transport, and no driving required. The nanny will be responsible for the care of the family’s newborn which will arrive in Summer 2025, with nursery duties such as feeding, changing, and general care. There will also be occasional assistance with our 3-year-old, but the nanny will rarely have all three children to care for at once.

The role involves both sole charge and shared charge responsibilities, with an organized individual needed to stay on top of tasks and remember key details. The family also have a friendly Bernese Mountain Dog, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable around dogs. The hours are from 7:00-7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with two typical breaks during the day, and 1 or 2 Saturdays of babysitting per month.

The are looking for a professional who is calm, responsible, and enthusiastic about caring for young children in a warm, family-oriented environment.

Job specification:

• Care for the newborn, including feeding, changing, and general care.

• Assist with the 3-year-old, ensuring safety and engagement in activities.

• Manage nursery duties like bottle preparation, organizing clothes, and keeping the area tidy.

• Handle both shared and sole charge responsibilities, staying organized.

• Help with the family’s Bernese Mountain Dog when needed.

• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to the children.

• Plan and engage in fun activities and outings.

• Ensure the children’s safety and respond to emergencies.

• Communicate with the family about the children’s needs and routines.

• Assist with bedtime routines and accompany the children to appointments.

• Experience in caring for newborns and young children

• Comfortable with both sole charge and shared charge childcare responsibilities.

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Calm, responsible, and nurturing with a genuine love for children.

• Comfortable being around and assisting with pets, specifically a Bernese Mountain Dog.

• Strong communication skills to work closely with the family and update them on the children’s needs.

• Ability to plan and engage children in age-appropriate, developmental activities.

• Professional, reliable, and punctual with flexibility for occasional babysitting on weekends.
