We are a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of intelligent management systems for keys and equipment. From an idea conceived nearly 30 years ago for the airline industry, today we supply to some of the world's largest retailers including Walmart and Ikea.
We are continuing to grow our R&D team and now have a requirement for a Mechanical Development/Production Engineer who will provide Mechanical Engineering support for product development and issues escalated to the R&D team. The Development Engineer will apply mechanical engineering skills and expertise to solve complex problems ranging from manufacturing issues to evaluating new product developments. The role will interact with the other departments within the business as a whole - including supporting the Production and Quality teams with advanced technical support and issue investigations. This role will also support the team by helping run quality assurance tests such as life-cycle and durability testing of components and product testing.
We can offer the successful candidate an attractive salary of up to £45,000 plus excellent benefits and learning opportunities and invite applications from mechanical biased Production Engineers/Manufacturing Engineers/Development Engineers/R&D Engineers with the following attributes:
- Minimum of a HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering is essential having completed an engineering/technical apprenticeship being an advantage
- Experience using 3D CAD program
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes (sheet metal fabrication, extrusions, casting, moulding, machining).
- Broad background in electro-mechanical product development, manufacture and testing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electro/mechanical technical drawings.
- Strong innovative problem-solving skills
