About the role

Connex Education are working with a large mainstream primary school based in the Eaglescliffe area who are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team and work full time from After Easter until the end of the summer term. This is a role working within reception and you will be working 1:1 with a child with special educational needs, work in small groups within reception and also be required to cover PPA.

This primary school has a creative and enthusiastic community and as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant there, you will be supported by a welcoming team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff and you will be responsible for assisting the teachers and supporting the pupils.

Assignment Details

This role is Monday – Friday so the right candidate MUST be able to work full time between 8:30am -3:30pm. It is essential to be a minimum level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant to be considered for this role.

Person Specification

• MUST be qualified to HLTA standard – Role Open to ECTs too
• Have experience of supporting pupils in a primary environment, in an EYFS setting
• Be confident working with small groups
• Good knowledge of Additional Needs, comfortable with 1:1 and have a good understanding of EYFS Curriculum
• Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
