Knight & Jones Recruitment is a healthcare agency that is currently recruiting for Healthcare Workers.

Skills Required

You will need to have a minimum of 6 months experience in the UK and within the Health and Social Care sector, that we can reference check, as well as the following skills:

  1. Promoting person-centred care and independence
  2. Ability to get on with people of all ages
  3. Patience
  4. Understanding and empathy
  5. Respect
  6. Excellent listening and communication
  7. Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise workload
  8. Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
  9. Good writing skills in order to complete care plans and reports

You will be required to check each of the service users’ needs and progress by talking to them and tracking their progress. You will also be providing the individuals with personal care including toileting, dressing, and feeding.

Qualifications Required

The following will be required prior to offering work:

  1. A minimum of 6 months UK healthcare experience
  2. Enhanced DBS certificate (online update service beneficial)
  3. References (to cover 3 years including 1 care reference)
  4. Full employment history back to education, explaining any gaps.

Training:

  1. Health and safety training
  2. Patient moving and handling training
  3. Infection control
  4. First Aid including BLS (basic life support)
  5. Safeguarding of Adults
  6. Learning Disabilities & Autism
  7. Epilepsy
  8. Medication
