McPherson Ltd of Aberlour are a 3rd generation family-owned logistics and haulage business specialising in the transport of bulk spirits and who service some of the best known distilleries in the country. McPherson are looking to appoint a seasoned Head of Engineering to lead their large and diverse engineering department.
The Head of Engineering will be heavily involved in procurement of the fleet and will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance, managing all of the third party suppliers across the UK. They will also be heavily involved in innovation, working with third party design and manufacturers to create bespoke products that allow McPherson to deliver new or better services to its customers, and in turn to increase revenue and margin.
We are looking to appoint a qualified engineer with a continuous improvement mindset and proven experience of building and leading high performing engineering teams. This individual will have current experience working with UK vehicles and a sound knowledge of DVSA standards and regulations.
This position will be based in Aberlour, Scotland, and reports directly to the Main Board. A relocation package is available to assist the successful individual to move to the area if required.
