Site Manager

SITE MANAGER – CAMBRIDGESHIRE

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established national housebuilder to recruit an experienced Site Manager for an exciting multi-phase timber frame development. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a fast-paced site delivering 70 units in Phase 1 and 50 units in Phase 2, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and delivery.

The Role:

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the company’s high standards. You’ll lead a skilled on-site team and subcontractors, driving the timber frame build programme from groundworks through to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all site operations and coordinate trades and subcontractors
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Work closely with the Contracts Manager and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Monitor build progress, programme adherence, and quality of workmanship
• Lead on snagging and handovers in line with NHBC standards
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and daily briefings

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential construction (ideally with a national housebuilder)
• Strong knowledge of timber frame construction
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certifications
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multi-phase sites with a focus on volume housing
