Cloud Infrastructure & Security Lead – Azure / Microsoft 365 – Insurance – £80,000-£95,000 + Bonus

Job Overview

Client: Insurance

Location: London / Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

The role:

Seeking a knowledgeable Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join the team. The organization operates a hybrid working environment and the role involves Microsoft Azure, 365, Infrastructure Engineering, and Security work, covering both BAU and projects.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure:

• Transition from on-premises to fully Cloud-based Infrastructure (Azure)
• Provide expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms
• Implement automation via IaC and DevOps methodologies
• Manage EoL and decommission legacy technology
• Write technical documentation
• Manage patching processes
• Support the company\’s growth into a fully Cloud-based environment

Security:

• Design and enforce security and access management policies
• Manage IAM
• Threat monitoring and detection using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, SIEM
• Adhere to security frameworks like ISO27001, NIST, GDPR

Core Skills Required

• Strong security experience with ISO27001, NIST
• IAM experience
• Threat management and incident response
• 3rd party and vendor management
• Leadership skills to lead a small team
