Senior Legal Counsel – UK FinTech (Part-Time) Location: Central London (Hybrid Working Available) A leading FinTech, established in 2011, is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its team on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week). This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s legal and compliance framework while supporting its merchant acquiring and payments services. Role Overview: Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), you will: Be part of the organisation’s legal function, working independently to provide strategic and practical advice. Draft, review, and negotiate a range of agreements, including vendor contracts, operational agreements, and sales agreements. Ensure regulatory compliance across payment flows and provide expert guidance on data protection and financial services regulations. Support the business’s acquiring operations, helping to facilitate smooth payment processes for merchants and customers. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in financial services or a related field. A strong regulatory law, with the ability to work autonomously. A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the drive to make a tangible impact.
