Director of Finance

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic individual to lead the College Finance department, ensuring that the College\’s financial resources are effectively deployed within budget. Responsibilities Manage a diverse range of funding streams, interpret funding methodology, and oversee associated accountability and risk management. Ensure the timely production of key reports, including annual strategies for procurement and value for money, projects, payroll, statutory accounts, detailed budget, and associated returns and claims. Lead initiatives to improve efficiency in transaction processing and the effective use of finance systems. Candidate Requirements Full accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA / ACCA). Substantial experience and knowledge of all aspects of finance, preferably within an educational environment. High-level Excel skills and experience managing a team with direct reports. Experience in producing management accounts, statutory accounts, and audit documentation. Knowledge of the Teacher\’s Pension Scheme and the financial/regulatory framework affecting Further Education. Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 or equivalent.
