Primary Teaching Assistant – Slough

A lovely primary school in Slough are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible.
What the role as a Primary Teaching Assistant entails:
Your role will mostly entail providing academic support to the class as a whole. Some students may require extra attention and you will assist and support them, ensuring they reach their goals! You may provide this support, either 1 to 1 or in small groups.
While you embark on supporting these students, will learn all the necessary qualities to make an amazing teacher. If you are looking to apply for your teacher training, this experience will surely set you apart from others!
While you will be supporting the classroom and students, you will also support the class teacher. This will look like helping to set up of lessons, tidying and clearing up after lessons, providing general supervision of the class and help with behaviour management. You may also be asked to help with school outings and help supervise outdoor activities.
This is a great opportunity for you to work alongside qualified teachers, individuals who have been through the training and will give you great advice!
The Successful Teaching Assistant:
The successful teaching assistant will be enthusiastic and keen to get stuck in. You will have a passion to work with children and make a difference in the education sector. You must be calm and compassionate and be able to facilitate a fun and engaging learning environment for your students. You must be proactive and be able to match your approach to fit the needs of the child you are working with. You should also be committed and willing to stay for duration of the school year
Teacher training will be an option to those individuals who stay on with the school for an academic year.
