We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Senior Business Development Manager - Myopia Management for a leading global manufacturer of contact lenses. You will be responsible for successfully selling the Myopia portfolio into optical retailers, including Key Accounts, within a defined territory. Your role involves supporting and collaborating with Owners, Practice & Store Managers, Eye Care Practitioners (ECPs), and front-of-house colleagues to establish the Myopia category and drive sales. You will partner with CV customer business teams, NAMs, KAMs, RSMs, Marketing & Professional Affairs to develop and implement customer-specific myopia business plans.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Drive activation and adoption of myopia management products within targeted accounts to meet sales objectives and call levels.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with CV customer business teams to execute joint business plans for myopia category growth, working with regional managers to deliver MiSight activation.
- Collaborate closely with BDMs on target accounts to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Develop and sustain relationships with peers, sales teams, leadership, and support teams to support customer objectives.
- Build clinical knowledge of myopia management products, including MiSight 1 day contact lenses and competitors.
- Serve as the primary myopia contact for assigned customers, helping them implement myopia management strategies to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Interpret clinical studies and market data to enhance credibility and influence the sales process.
- Demonstrate strong selling, business, presentation, and communication skills to influence customer decisions.
- Organize and deliver regional and store-level training programs on myopia management and MiSight products.
- Train regional sales teams on new initiatives and information related to myopia management.
Customer Interaction:
- Understand each customer's business, develop action plans, lead marketing initiatives, and utilize CV value-added services to grow the business.
- Represent CV at seminars, exhibitions, and meetings as needed.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess expert-level customer relationship skills, business development, myopia management and contact lens knowledge, and sales expertise. Must be able to communicate complex clinical concepts effectively and manage a large geographical area. Additional requirements include:
