Job Summary:
The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Audience Research and Measurement department delivers data-driven solutions and audience insights across media divisions including Disney Advertising, Disney+ EMEA Original Productions, Content Sales, and Media Networks.
This role supports the Disney Advertising Sales department, focusing on UK and regional EMEA insight delivery across Disney+ Advertising Tier and supporting advertising partnerships with Disney, Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, and ESPN. The role emphasizes understanding audience data to drive advertising revenues and involves campaign evaluation and consumer insights.
The position reports to the Senior Manager and Manager, Audience Measurement and Insight, collaborating with the wider Disney insights teams.
This position requires working from our Hammersmith offices 4 days a week (Mon-Thu).
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining regional resources and scorecards based on industry data through collaboration with EMEA research teams.
- Leading UK industry insights to support audience understanding across the AV landscape, including BARB, TGI, GWI.
- Partnering with Trade Marketing on Go-To-Market assets.
- Managing primary research projects for Thought Leadership insights.
- Supporting marketing effectiveness studies.
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging audience measurement technologies.
National Geographic-specific responsibilities:
- Responding to briefs and creating insights for National Geographic\’s advertising sales team.
- Managing campaign measurement projects from scripting to presentation.
- Developing expertise in National Geographic\’s audience across TV, social, digital, and print, especially in travel and luxury categories.
Supporting other brands like ESPN, Marvel, or Pixar as needed.
This role provides opportunities for mentorship and leadership development through collaboration with interns.
Required experience:
- Experience in a commercial media research and insights environment.
- Proven ability to analyze BARB data, using TechEdge for industry viewership insights.
- Experience with cross-tabbing datasets like TGI and GWI.
- Motivation to understand advertising effectiveness and customer behavior.
- Ability to present research findings to senior stakeholders.
- Strong numeracy and data-to-insight skills.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Preferred: Experience with advertising effectiveness methodologies, scripting, and report writing.
