About the Role
The yard assistant is required to be a confident machine operator with a keen eye for detail and organisation to give a professional and leading edge feel to the depot. The preparation of new and used machines is a key part of the role supporting the service team, cleaning and pre-sale preparation of machinery also as and when the need arises the requirement for small repairs to equipment and machinery. The support of all departments is a vital role by taking the lead supporting supplier’s deliveries and collections made to the depot. Delivery of machines and equipment to support demos and the sales team. (This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour week from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with a requirement to work Saturday mornings as and when required.)
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will (this list is not exhaustive):
- Clean and prepare new and used machines for sale.
- Keep yard and premises clean and tidy.
- Loading and unloading.
- Help and assist with delivering demo and new machines.
Candidate Requirements
- Familiar with operating agricultural machines.
- Forklift / telehandler qualification (training can be provided).
- Able to work extra hours when needed and work in a team.
