Driver/Gardener

VTA Recruitment are looking for an experienced driver/gardener to join our clients\’ street care team, based in Stockport.

Our client provides a huge range of services to the public and private sectors across Greater Manchester. The Street Care team achieve and maintain street cleansing standards and undertake general grounds maintenance duties.

Details:

1. £12.59 per hour
2. Monday-Friday
3. 7:30am to 15:30pm (37 hrs per week)
4. Winter Schedule = 5x 7.4hr days
5. Seasonal Schedule = 5x 8.6hr days, 42 hours/week

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and care for gardens, including the ability to operate a ride-on mower.
2. Use power tools and hand tools to perform various gardening tasks.
3. Assist with landscape maintenance, such as mowing lawns and trimming hedges.
4. Perform general groundskeeping duties to keep the outdoor areas clean and presentable.

Requirements:

1. 3.5 Tonne Licence is required.
2. Previous experience in gardening or groundskeeping is necessary.
3. Ability to operate a ride-on mower.
4. Ability to safely use powered hand tools such as strimmers and hedgecutters.
5. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
6. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time.
