Buyer - Electrics

You will be responsible for managing the electronics category, working closely with the purchasing manager and a team of 3 other buyers. You will be responsible for developing a short- and long-term category plan for your allocated category. You will conduct sourcing, RFI, RFP and RFQ activities as required to allow the business to meet growing demand. You will be responsible for ensuring approved suppliers are providing service in line with agreed SLA’s etc. You will also re-negotiate existing contracts to ensure optimum commercial outcome for the business.

You will need to have experience buying a variety of electronic components such as batteries, motors, ICs, resistors etc. You should come from a manufacturing industry, ideally with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. You should have an advanced understanding of Excel, be able to perform data analysis and collate appropriate reports when necessary.
