Your new company You will be working for a global manufacturer based in North London, leading the way in terms of innovation and practicality within their market. With teams based in 10 countries and trading in over 40 different countries globally, you will be working for a truly multinational company. Your new role You will be responsible for managing the electronics category, working closely with the purchasing manager and a team of 3 other buyers. You will be responsible for developing a short- and long-term category plan for your allocated category. You will conduct sourcing, RFI, RFP and RFQ activities as required to allow the business to meet growing demand. You will be responsible for ensuring approved suppliers are providing service in line with agreed SLA\’s etc. You will also re-negotiate existing contracts to ensure optimum commercial outcome for the business. What you\’ll need to succeed You will need to have experience buying a variety of electronic components such as batteries, motors, ICs, resistors etc. You should come from a manufacturing industry, ideally with 3-5 years\’ experience in a similar role. You should have an advanced understanding of Excel, be able to perform data analysis and collate appropriate reports when necessary.
