Vacancy Description

As our workshop apprentice you will work with a small workshop team based in our Canning Town depot. You will gain practical and hands-on skills working alongside our experienced workshop fitters/engineers.

What you will do at work:

• Fault-finding, repair and maintenance of a wide range of small tools, equipment, and plant.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
• Keep up to date with the service requirements of all items in the hire fleet.
• Ensure equipment is clean, in good order, and branded accurately.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policy and procedures and follow safe working practices.

You will be based at our City Depot: Unit 5b, North Crescent, London, E16 4TG.

Training

Training to be Provided

You will gain a Level 2 Construction Equipment Maintenance Mechanic qualification. The training will take place at work and at the CITB\’s National Construction College in Bircham, Norfolk. College attendance is completed in blocks of 1-4 weeks duration, and you will be required to travel and stay in Norfolk.
