Job Title: Part Time Lecturer in School Nursing Location: Aberdeen, AB10 7GJ Salary: £39,105 – £55,295 Per annum Grade 7 Salary Scale: £39,105 – £45,163 per annum Grade 8 Salary Scale: £46,485 £52,183 per annum Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience. Job type: Part Time, Permanent Hours: 14 Hours Per week This School is offering an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified professional to join our team of lecturers who provide high-quality education to both pre-registration students and post-registration healthcare professionals. As a lecturer in School Nursing, you will join an experienced and motivated team of academics, providing support for teaching and learning across the Schools portfolio with a focus on our post-registration School Nursing/Health Visiting (SCPHN) routes within the MSc Advanced Practice programme which supports students from throughout Scotland and beyond. You will be a committed and motivated professional who will, therefore, contribute effectively to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning materials/modules across our programmes. With knowledge, experience and skills, as well as a degree in a relevant subject (achievement of MSc or PhD/Doctorate), you will also be expected to contribute to the wider School portfolio, which includes undergraduate and postgraduate health professional education and the Schools commercialisation and/or scholarly activities. There are also opportunities to undertake applied health research in health and social care policy, education and clinical practice which impacts on the health and wellbeing of people, families and communities. As well as this, our lecturers develop and use a range of skills to support students as a personal tutor as well as engaging in partnership with other academics, practice provider partners and people and communities The School is a vibrant academic community and the main provider of nursing education in the Northeast of Scotland. This is a part-time position that is held for 14 hours per week, and it may be possible to set specific days around existing employment. This post is subject to the individual being required to join the PVG scheme. Grade 7 Salary Scale: £39,105 – £45,163 Grade 8 Salary Scale: £46,485 £52,183 Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience. Candidates with limited or no prior experience as an academic will be placed on the first point of the Grade 7 scale.
