This is an excellent opportunity for Infrastructure Designer professionals to be part of leading-edge technology projects. Cognizant’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Security Services Practice provides end-to-end solutions covering architecture, design, implementation, management, and ongoing support across the entire enterprise technology infrastructure. Our services include a spectrum of management, consulting, and systems integration services to help our clients maximize value in their infrastructure resources while optimizing infrastructure performance and cost.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop high-level and detailed infrastructure designs.
- Assessment of infrastructure costs within agreed solutions.
- Responsible for the creation of adoption and roadmaps, reusable design patterns and standards, hardware and software Standard Operating Environments (SOE).
- Development of operational and use case models for new technologies.
- Design Governance to ensure ongoing reliability, quality, and adherence to architectural strategies and roadmaps.
- Consultancy to approved projects during the estimating process; person day cost, high-level design, and impact analysis.
Required Skills
- The ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment.
- The ability to support the rationale behind financial cost estimates for a project's given scope.
- The ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge to support the design and architectural governance process, demonstrating technical experience in the following:
- Operating systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux
- Services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
- Database: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
- Messaging/Collaboration: Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint/SharePoint Online
- Virtualisation: VMWare ESXi
- Desktop: Windows
- Cloud & Azure knowledge
Preferred Skills
- Experience of designing solutions in financial services environments to meet business-critical needs.
- Experience and knowledge of agile development environments as well as more traditional waterfall delivery.
