We are looking for an Associate with Temporary Works experience to join our Warrington office. Due to increasing workload with new and existing projects and prospects as well as a growing team, we are looking for an Associate who will lead and help grow the team. The successful individual will be someone who wants to make a difference and be part of an expanding business delivering specialist design solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects across the UK, including Rail, Bridges, Marine, Commercial, Nuclear, and Demolition.

You will be a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with a proven track record of successful delivery of temporary works design projects. You will develop robust design solutions through collaborative and proactive management of client demands - providing leadership from both a technical delivery and people management perspective. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Principal Engineer who is looking to progress into a more senior position or for someone already in an Associate or Engineering Manager role looking to transition to a senior leadership position with significant responsibility for business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead for the regional office comprising multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Act as a project director, working with the project team at a senior level.
  • Exercise oversight over the regional office providing technical support as required, reviewing intermediate level (Cat. 1 and 2) design proposals for concept and practicability, and approving the final result.
  • Manage resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead the design process and coordinate team members to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions to the agreed programme; support those less experienced by technical review, mentoring, and advice.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and innovation across the business.
  • Participate in tender/bids, business development, and opportunities as they arise.
