The Manager for Practice Innovation will play a crucial role in advancing the Firm’s innovation and AI strategy. Working closely with the Senior Manager for Practice Innovation, the Practice Solutions team, and relevant practice group leads, the Manager for Practice Innovation will support the Firm’s innovation journey, with a particular focus on leveraging established and emerging AI technologies to transform client service delivery.
The Practice Innovation Team is part of the Innovation & AI team and serves as the primary interface between lawyers and the Practice Solutions function. Practice Innovation will operate within the existing Innovation Champions structure and collaborate with regional sections and key clients to source ideas and drive initiatives aligned with the Firm\’s strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultancy, Thought Leadership, and Advocacy
- Supporting conversations with Firm clients around innovation and AI, providing value-added consultancy services in line with the Firm’s Client Innovation Strategy
- Acting as an advocate for Firmwide innovation by participating in internal events, roundtables, conferences, and social media, while creating high-impact thought leadership to enhance the Firm’s reputation for innovation
- Developing artifacts (presentations, reports, guidance materials) to assist client and internal engagement on legal innovation
- Leading engagement with regional practice groups, developing relationships as a trusted advisor to support their innovation efforts
- Working with practice groups to develop innovation initiatives using the Firm’s frameworks, ensuring strategic alignment
- Gathering practice requirements and feeding them into the Practice Solutions team to ensure alignment with Firm priorities
AI Centre of Excellence
- Serving as a Product Owner, ensuring AI-driven tools are developed and evaluated with practice needs in mind
- Acting as the communication bridge between practice teams and the AI Centre of Excellence, ensuring clear expectations and alignment
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in AI, change management, or advisory services within a consulting firm (ideally Big 4)
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality service to clients
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, especially Generative AI
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills
- Strategic mindset with analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience in developing strategic partnerships and managing vendor relationships
- Experience in a global law firm environment, understanding lawyer workflows
- Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts
- Expertise in change management and ethical considerations related to AI

Location and Reporting
This role is based in London, reporting to the Senior Manager, Practice Innovation. Standard hours are 09:30-18:00, with a requirement for 3 days in-office per week.
