Join Our Team as a Serious Injury Team Leader. Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead a dynamic Serious Injury team? At Fletchers, we’re on the lookout for an experienced and driven professional to guide our team handling cases valued up to £100,000.
As a Team Leader, you’ll ensure the profitable operation of this fee-earning unit, working closely with the Head of Department to align with our company’s vision and strategy. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring cases are assessed, managed, and conducted proactively and commercially to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. Main Responsibilities:
- Leading a team to maximise its objectives and deliver excellent standards of performance
- Some aspects of people management for the team (with input from Heads of Department)
- Ensuring that the legal/technical elements of the case conduct processes are maintained to the highest standards of efficiency, integrity and customer care
- Conducting technical file reviews and offering supervisory guidance/instruction
- Knowledge sharing with the team through supervision, training and case clinics
- Collaborating with other Team Leaders and Heads of Department to ensure standardisation of approach and smooth transition of cases
- Conducting a diverse caseload of multi-track or intermediate track matters valued up to £100,000, including RTA, EL, PL and OL work with a proven track record in serious injury personal injury work.
Accountable For:
- Providing inspirational leadership to teams, including recruitment, motivation, training and support of team members
- Ensuring the progression of all cases in the team up to the point of settlement
- Ensuring outstanding service to customers
- Maintaining the team’s financial performance KPIs
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor/CILEX or equivalent work experience with a solid track record in multi-track work
- Significant experience in handling serious injury claims and litigation
- Sound knowledge of the CPR, litigation process and cost budgeting
- Experience with a diverse range of liability scenarios including EL/PL and RTAs
- Proven KPIs in fee recovery, time recording and client care
- Inspirational leader with excellent people and client care skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Commercial approach to litigation and case progression
- Willing to achieve results and meet deadlines
- Flexible in working hours and able to travel
- Good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office; experience with Proclaim is preferable but not essential
- Able to liaise and work well with other teams
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Strong commercial thinking in a legal environment
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing to contribute ideas and engage in brand development and networking
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience with the Proclaim case management system
- Driving licence
