Commodities & Energy Trading House are going through a technology landscape transformation. A major project involves removing their Valuations and PnL portfolio from their current ETRM system and transferring the data to a new, bespoke ETRM that can facilitate Power trades.
The Power Business Analyst role will focus on enhancing and modifying the Front Office Power Trading capabilities. You will collaborate with users across the business, covering functionality throughout the entire trade lifecycle for physical OTC Power.
This role requires a strong understanding of Power trading, including ETRMs, OTC exchanges, reporting such as REMIT, and concepts like baseload, peak and off-peak trading, intraday and day-ahead trading, PPAs, the Physical Power Trade Lifecycle, M2M and P&L, VAR, and Power Grids.
You will work closely with both front office and middle office users, with direct desk access on the trading floor, gaining exposure to the entire trade lifecycle for physical Power. The role involves extensive hands-on work within the current ETRM system, requiring a deep understanding of the Physical Commodities lifecycle and associated processes.
