Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.

We are looking for a Lead QC Technician to join our Quality Control team in Swindon. In this role, you will perform routine laboratory tests, validate methods, and support various projects to ensure the production and release of pharmaceutical products. You will receive ample training and development opportunities while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out quality control tests on incoming materials, intermediates, and finished products following cGMP guidelines.
  • Conduct method transfers, develop new methods, and validate existing ones as needed.
  • Prepare detailed technical documents, including standard operating procedures, specifications, and reports.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment and test methods.
  • Keep your training records up to date and assist in training other team members.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues both locally and internationally to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Ensure all work aligns with cGMP, health and safety regulations, and 5S standards.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance the team's performance.
  • Take on additional tasks as required.
EH&S Responsibilities:
  • Understand and follow emergency procedures and safe working practices.
  • Follow all environmental, health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Report and investigate any accidents, near misses, or breaches of safety rules promptly.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
  • Experience with both instrumental and traditional analytical techniques.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and willingness to travel internationally as part of project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Highly motivated, diligent, and excellent in communication and organizational skills.
